Exam registration
The next DSH exam takes place on 7 February. The registration form is generally only available via the German version of this page.

Please read the information on this page and our FAQ carefully.
Fill out the registration form according to German spelling (upper and lower case, but not all CAPITAL LETTERS).
There is no fixed deadline; places will be allocated as long as they are available.
- black and white copy of your passport (main page with photo, NOT visa, NOT resident permit, NOT a color copy)
- Proof of language proficiency at level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages in the form of:
- Certificate of attendance/certificate
- Only certificates of attendance and language certificates at level C1 will be accepted. Level B2 is not sufficient.
- The course level must be clearly stated on the certificate.
- Proof of registration for a language course is not acceptable.
- The certificate of attendance must prove actual and complete course attendance.
- Certificates of enrollment at a university (Immatrikulations-/Studienbescheinigung) cannot be accepted.
- Alternatively: Test-DaF certificate with a result of 4 (or higher) in at least two parts (e.g. 3/3/4/4)
- Alternatively: DSH-1 certificate
- Certificate of attendance/certificate
Criteria for the allocation of places
- Completeness and time of receipt of documents
- The number of places is limited. Submission of the registration form does not automatically mean admission to the examination.
- If you are offered a place, you will receive an invoice for € 150 within a few weeks. Payment is made by bank transfer. As soon as you have transferred the examination fee, you are bindingly admitted to the DSH and will receive a written invitation approximately one week before the examination.
- Persons who cannot be admitted directly to the examination will be placed on the waiting list. In this case, you will not receive any further notification. You will only be contacted if you can be admitted. This can happen until shortly before the exam. Please refrain from enquiring about the status of your application.
Mock Tests
Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences cannot provide mock examinations or model examinations for external candidates to practice.
