DACADU-Online Blog
DACADU is an initiative developed by the EUt+ partner universities in Darmstadt, Cartagena and Dublin, which enables students to develop their German skills together with their intercultural competence. The project is also in line with the goals and aspirations regarding multilingualism and interculturality within EUt+.
The online learning phase in spring 2022 with different learning formats was followed by a visit to Darmstadt in October 2022 (blended mobility approach) under the frame “expectations vs. reality” . Cultural and academic activities were carried out and recorded audiovisually in the project's blog.
After a successful evaluation of the project, the second online course "DACADU +" was launched in spring 2023. New EUt+ partner universities are Troyes and Limassol, together with Darmstadt and Cartagena. 36 German students from the four participating universities work on various intercultural tasks on a weekly basis and are accompanied by their lecturers on site.
A joint learning phase took place in October 2023, first online and then in Darmstadt: Students from Darmstadt, Limassol and Troyes worked together on the topic of "Plurilingual and Multicultural Cities". The broad program included intercultural German lessons, a video editing workshop in cooperation with the Media Department and several activities in the city center.
