Visit of our partner universities in the framework of EUt+.

#dacadugoesdarmstadt October 2022

Wonderful autumn weather accompanied the delegations from Dublin and Cartagena during their visit to Darmstadt.

After a variety of online activities had already taken place in spring and the participants had learned a lot from and about each other, the time had finally come: The students came to Germany with their lecturers Natalia Carbajosa and Catherine Spencer from October 5-9 and met their fellow students and colleagues in person.

In addition to attending German classes and other learning activities, cultural events were not neglected either: whether it was the discovery of the "Laternchen" in Darmstadt's student district or a long walk through the centuries from the Staatstheater to Rosenhöhe and the UNESCO World Heritage Site Mathildenhöhe. The students always discussed and reflected on the topic of the visit "expectations vs. reality" and thus soon formed a large mixed group whose time together went by much too quickly.

EUt+ Visit "DACADU+" at the Language Center in October 2023

The DACADU journey continues: In October 2023 delegations from the Université de Technologie de Troyes and the Cyprus University of Technology in Limassol were guests at the Language Center in Darmstadt. Already since March, the more than thirty German students dealt with the most diverse aspects of origin, plurilingualism and the multiculturalism of their university cities in online lessons. The highlight of the blended learning course was a five-day intensive program with a wide variety of learning formats in Darmstadt. Finally, the participants and their German teachers were able to meet in person and get to know the university and Darmstadt. "I expected a gray city and I am positively surprised by the beautiful parks," said one of the participants from Limassol "I want to come back!"

The DACADU blended learning course took place for the second year in a row. In 2022, groups from the EUt+ partner universities Technological University Dublin and Universidad Politécnica Cartagena were guests in Darmstadt.
